Gibb Voted Best Man on Beach / Gibb 获得美国年度沙排最佳

With support from a team that included new partner Casey Patterson (Van  Nuys, Calif.), new coach Tyler Hildebrand and strength trainer Tim Pelot, Gibb was  voted the 2013 USA Volleyball Male Beach Athlete of the Year.

76年出生的，如果能征战到2016年里约，那就正好40岁，不得不佩服他的能力...足够赢得所有人的尊重，这才是真正的职业运动员...里约有你更精彩...

In accepting the honor, Gibb wanted to make sure that Patterson got  credit for his role in their success.
“Winning athlete of the year, I’m very honored by that,” Gibb said. “But  one thing that is overlooked is that I’ve been hitting the sets of the best  setter in the world. Nobody ever writes about that; it’s an amazing gift. He’s  made my life a lot easier.”

赢得年度最佳后，Gibb也在提醒大家不要忘记他的partner patterson, 因为有patterson的存在，使他的生活更容易些，当然，是指球场上的生活...

In total, Gibb and Patterson reached the podium 12 times in 2013.

Now that Gibb is the beach volleyball veteran, he knows he has to work  harder than ever with Patterson, Pelot and Hildebrand so that his team finds  more success in 2014.
现在Gibb是沙排的老兵了，76年出生，他需要付出更多努力征战2014...


“When I first went on tour in 2005, I felt like I was the biggest guy  out there,” said Gibb, who measures 6-foot-7. “Now, I’m a very average sized  blocker. Kids keep getting bigger and stronger, so I had to get bigger and  stronger.”

Gibb的身材在2005年明显有优势，可是现在，沙排中很常规的身材了，所以需要更加努力...
