Ivan Miljković的声明：

My family is my priority and more important than playing for the national team now. It’s definitely the end. The last point, which I scored for my team was in during the 2011 World Cup match against Team USA. I gave everything & my best for Serbia. I tried to help my team the best way I could. I think, that I have done a lot of good things for Serbian Volleyball because on the results during my career. But now it’s a time that I have to devote myself doing other things, not volleyball. My dream is to give & guide the young players with my experience and knowledge. I want to be their role model to follow. I believe that we will see the birth of a new generation of great Serbian players.

塞尔维亚主教练Igor Kolaković早在二月份就知道了Ivan的决定：

Ivan told me about it in February. I wanted to convince him to change it, but it's the last word. After many years of playing in the NT, Ivan deserved for big respect.
