BRA M: Lucarelli definitely will not compete at World Championship

Lucarelli who was out of the World Nations League duerecover from an Achilles tendon injury suffered during 2017/2018 Superliga,said he is not yet ready to help the Brazilian team in a competition asimportant as the World Championship:
"Little time left to the startof the competition and I do not feel yet at an adequate level to help theNational team at the World Championship. I'm already training and playing, butit's still far from what we need to deliver in an intense, long championshipwith very strong teams and very complicated games," said Lucarelli.
The medical teamof Brazil national team and Lucarelli's club, EMS Taubaté Funvic were in contact during theplayer's recovery process and met a month ago when they concluded that he wasnot in a position to serve the Brazilian team.

Russia to host FIVB WorldVolleyball Championship 2022?

The behind-the-scenes talks have been going on for a long time until finally,the Russians confirmed that they are trying to become the hosts of the WorldChampionship 2022.

The president of theFIVB Ary Graca hasofficially met with the minister of sports in Russia Pawel Kolobkov. Also, the president of the Russianvolleyball federation Stanislav Shevchenko and the head of the CEV Aleksandar Boricicwere present at the meeting.

The minister Kolobkov has confirmed that one of the topics at themeeting was a plan to organize this big volleyball event in 2022.

Recall thatRussia was the host of the men’s volleyball World Championship, in 1952 and in1962. In 2007, the Russians organized the European championship, winning thesilver medal, losing the final from the Spanish National team, which was led byAndrea Anastasi.

之前只看到消息说为了保证世锦赛，俱乐部答应国家队请求让他好好休息养伤，没想到彻底歇菜了
