2006最佳男子室内排球运动员：Matey KAZIYSKI （保加利亚）
The 22-year-old universal started his career in 1995 when he joined the club of VC Skavia SOFIA at the age of 11. In 2003 he won his first big title with the national Bulgarian team at the Junior Balkan Championships. One year later, he went from Balkan to global where he was noticed as one of the most outstanding players being nominated as 'Best Server' during the World League in Italy. Further nominations as 'Best Spiker' and 'Best Server' followed. At the 2006 World Championships, where Bulgaria finished third, Matey was fifth best scorer.
The Russian all-star selection of the famous club of Dinamo MOSCOW is the Bulgarian's current home club. Together with his team mates Matey celebrated several success stories inside and outside of Russia. This season, he has been nominated Most Valuable Player of the Russian Cup and reached third place in the Men's Indesit European Champions' League 2006/07. （简单的英文阐述，我就不翻译了）

The 29-year-old Muscovite's success story is marked by various highlights, only recently crowned with the World Championship gold medal after two European Championship titles in 1999 and 2001. During her career, the clubs she joined throughout Europe were guaranteed to win their national championship or cup thanks to her: 2001 Turkish Championship and Cup, 2004 Italian Championship, 2005 Italian Cup, 2006 Spanish Cup and in February 2007 Champion in Spain's Cup ('Copa de la Reina') with MURCIA followed by Europe's Top Teams Cup where she was nominated MVP of the Final Four, and these were only a few of her outstanding successes. Apart from several nominations as 'Best Server' and 'Best Receiver', she was awarded 'Most Valuable Player' six times within the past three years, honouring her individual qualities.

The 31-year-old German started playing beach volleyball in the 90s at the side of his twin brother Markus before he joined forces with Andreas Scheuerpflug to become one of the most sucessful European beach volleyball doubles from 2002 to 2005. During the period 1998-2006 Christoph won the German Championship three times and became Vice Champion four times. His international career is crowned by four World titles, three European titles, as well as numerous bronze and silver medals. 2006 was the most successful year in his career, winning the NESTEA European Championship Final in The Hague (NED) and being ranked amongst the highest of the FIVB World Tour with partner Julius Brink.

Born in Kaliningrad in March 1977, Natalia started off as an indoor player in the Youth Sports School of Kaliningrad. Her career on sand began in 1995 at the side of Galina Lysikova when the duo finished as Vice Champions of the Russian Championships. Since 2002 she has been winning the national championships over and over again which automatically kicked off her international career crowned with the victory of the NESTEA European Championship Final 2006 in The Hague (NED) next to Alexandra Shiryaeva.
