FIG Clears Morgan Hamm for Beijing
Tuesday, July 29, 2008 By Amanda Turner http://www.intlgymnast.com/olympics/473.html
The International Gymnastics Federation announced Tuesday it will not appeal a U.S. Olympic Committee ruling that will allow U.S. team member Morgan Hamm to compete in Beijing after receiving a warning from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
Hamm received a public warning July 3 for testing positive for triamcinolone acetonide at the U.S. Championships on May 24. Hamm had taken the substance via an anti-flammatory shot, but was required to seek a medical exemption for the substance. USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic Committee determined the warning did not affect Hamm's quailfication to the U.S. team.
The FIG Disciplinary Commission held a meeting Sunday and Monday, and decided that it would not seek to appeal the USADA warning, clearing the way for Hamm to compete in his third straight Olympics.
The announcement comes the day after Hamm's twin, reigning Olympic champion Paul Hamm, announced he was stepping down from the U.S. team. Paul Hamm had been attempting to come back after suffering a broken right hand at the U.S. Championships.

Second U.S. Gymnast Gets USADA Warning
Monday, August 04, 2008 By Amanda Turner http://www.intlgymnast.com/Online-Features/News/482.html
A second U.S. gymnast has received a warning from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for taking a glucocorticostreroid without filing the proper exemption.
U.S. national team member Tim McNeill tested positive for triamcinolone acetonide on May 24, at the U.S. Championships in Houston. The USADA announced in July that Olympic team member Morgan Hamm had tested positive for the same substance.
As with Hamm, the doping offense involved the use of a prescribed anti-inflammatory medication under the care of a physician, but without first seeking the required therapeutic use exemption, the FIG announced Monday. McNeill received a warning for the incident, a first offense.
The FIG stated that, as in the case with Hamm, it would not pursue any sanction.
"At the close of discussions and following recommendations put forth by the Disciplinary Commission, the FIG Presidential Commission decided not to appeal the USADA's decision," the FIG stated.
McNeill, who attends Cal Berkeley, finished seventh all-around at the U.S. Olympic Trials in June.

不是,相反,对于第一例的摩根.汉姆, FIG同意他参加OG.

不知道面对第二例,FIG 是怎样的心情.

如果还是放行,这个头开了,以后怎么办. IOC 会如何看.
