Well, I must be dreaming. I could only find one single website dedicated to the best volleyball player in the world but it is not in English. I don't know what I am reading or what I am making a comment about. I'm posting this message with the hope that someone would read it. The host, Dinamo, has been more than helpful and kind enough to make it possible for the fans to post messages. Nevertheless, I will like to share this new thread with those who would like to express their opinions about this impressive Russian player.
I am an American and a US Marine currently deployed in Iraq and I am a great admirer of Ekaterina. Not just because of her play and looks, but also because of her character, attitude and maturity at a personal level. Hopefully she will read this and smile. Dear fans of Ekaterina Gamova,
Although I don't speak Russian I was told by another fan of Ekaterina that her mother had passed away. I was dismayed to hear of her passing and am writing to extend my deepest sympathies to Ekaterina and her family.
Even though I never met Ekaterina, nor I know her feelings I sure hope she has the strength to deal with this situation and I want to remind her that she is not alone during this difficult time. Her fans from all over the world, including where I am from-the USA- are grieving with her and her family.
Someone once told me that the best part of life is building good memories. I hope that the memories she built will help her to overcome a loss so overwhelming. With affection and deep sympathy, I hope that the fond memories of her mother will give her an uplifting and inspiring sense of resolve for life.
